Job Description
A Secondary school in Newham is looking for a HR Administrator .
You will be responsible for supporting the HR team and deal with staff contracts, payroll, general administration and compliance, you will be the first point of call between the HR team and any contract enquiries and need to be committed to providing an excellent service to the Staff and HR team, leading to the best possible onboarding experience for new starters, As this is a maternity cover post they would like someone who has experience of working in a school and understands the payroll and HR functions and operations within a school setting.

Job Responsibilities
* Liaise with new starters and obtain their necessary documents for compliance purposes
* Attend meetings and take notes and minutes
* Enter information onto the systems with in a timely manner at all times
* Ensure all contracts are logged and posted as required
* Arrange return to work meetings and monitor absences
* Maintain HR files ensuring OFSTED/Safeguarding compliant and bring them up to date where required
Preferred Skills:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* A minimum of grade C or above in English & Maths
* Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of email and databases
* Knowledge and experience of administration
* Ability to cover administrative tasks with accuracy
* Good written English and effective communication skills
