Control and Instrumentation Technician – Power Station
Circa £48,500 + bonus + OT + benefits
Immingham, Lincolnshire
MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting a Control and Instrumentation Technician to join the maintenance department of a gas fired power station (CCGT) in the Immingham area. The C&I Technician will be responsible for the planning and execution of all C&I maintenance work across the site to ensure minimum downtime and maximum availability.
As the C&l Technician, you will be responsible for:
Fault finding, repair work and planned and unplanned maintenance on all C&I assets to maximise plant availability. This includes pressure, level, temperature and flow sensors and the sites control systems (DCS and PLCs etc)
Planning and managing the execution of works and closing out work packs
Assisting with outage planning and execution
Providing technical support to the operations team when required
Working alongside other Technicians and Engineers with regards to plant projects and upgrades
Managing contractors when required
This is a days-based role working Monday to Friday
To be considered for this role you should have:
A time served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering subject such as electrical or electronic engineering or similar
A relevant engineering qualification at HNC level or higher is essential
Proven hands-on maintenance experience across control and instrumentation maintenance in a relevant engineering environment – power plant, refinery, paper mill, steel works, chemical site etc.
Experience using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
Ideally experience managing and directing contractors
A good understanding of all HSE aspects
Salary & benefits
This Mechanical Technician role comes with the following:
A basic salary up to circa £48,500 depending on experience
A bonus up to 20%
A further rolling 3 yearly bonus scheme
Overtime at 1.5x
