Role Responsibilities
This position encompasses both a sales and service component with a heavy emphasis on sales production and results. Through inbound phone and email correspondence, assess and solve our Members financial needs by recommending our suite of products and services. This would include auto and personal lending products, new account openings, credit cards, debt consolidation, and protecting the Members loans with Life, Gap and Disability insurance and auto warranty protection.

- Handle online account opening and lending queues and determine appropriate membership and account product selection in accordance with Credit Union policy and procedures;
- Actively promote and become a Trusted Advisor by selling the credit union's full line of financial services by asking probing questions, assessing the member needs, offering targeted solutions, minimizing risks, and preparing forms and documentation;
- Build meaningful relationships with individuals and the general community
- Provide First Line support to the membership for all e-commerce lending product and new account services.
- Professionally handle all incoming requests for loans or accounts across all communication channels-including, but not limited to phone, email or chat; and ensure that requests are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.
- Seek ways to deepen member share-of-wallet and relationships;
- Coordinate with department management to enhance member's online experience, as it relates to marketing efforts, system enhancement/functionality and overall processes and procedures;
- Be proactive and creatively strategize with the Member Solutions team to meet or exceed individual and departmental goals;
- Provide necessary disclosures to members for all e-commerce channels to ensure we are in compliance with current regulations;
- Refer members to Insurance, Investment, Business and Mortgage partners;
- Respond to member inquiries, online applications and/or questions in a timely manner; typically within a 1 hour timeframe;
- Resolve member inquiries and/or concerns completely, accurately and in a professional manner;
- Receptive to coaching and feedback, have the desire to meet/exceed goals and solve problems;
- Perform various other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- One (1) year or more of experience in a high paced sales environment with a track record of meeting and/or exceeding goals;
- Six (6) months customer service experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum two (2) years of college course work and or equivalent work experience;
- Ability to operate computer systems with proficiency and comfort with technology;
- Requires an organized, detail-oriented self-starter who is able to work independently;
- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to establish credibility and rapport, be friendly and personable and look for ways to benefit the member;
- Understand how to present features and benefits of products and services to member with differing needs;
- Self-motivated, assertive, performs well in a team environment to service members;
- Strong listening skills;
- Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to member satisfaction
- Required to handle all member information in a confidential manner;
- Professional written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and Saturdays as needed.
- Multilingual verbal and written skills preferred;
- Bachelor's Degree in a business field preferred;
- Ability to manage difficult situations with little supervision preferred.
