About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Work-Based Pathways to spearhead the development and scaling of innovative, work-first academic programs that bridge the gap between education and the workforce. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the vision and execution of new work-based learning pathways, establishing strategic partnerships with employers and external agencies, and ensuring that the programs meet the needs of both students and the workforce. This role demands a leader with a deep understanding of work-based learning and apprenticeship models, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in curriculum and assessment development. The VPWP will also be tasked with building and leading a team of domain experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, and serving as a thought leader in the field of work-based education. Applicants for the VP of Work-Based Pathways position at the company should have a graduate degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a doctorate, and at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education, work-based learning, or a related area. The role requires a candidate with extensive knowledge of work-based learning and apprenticeship models, strategic planning and execution skills, and a strong background in leadership and team development. The VPWP must be adept at building and managing strategic partnerships, using data for decision-making, and ensuring the programs are in compliance with regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills are essential, as is proficiency with EdTech tools. The position is pivotal in the company's mission to expand access to higher education and create a more equitable and effective education-to-workforce pipeline.
