Job Description Responsible to consult and advise clients on irrigation design and provide technical irrigation services and sales on site. Requirements The suitable candidate must have a Grade 12 certificate. The suitable candidate must have three years of relevant experience. Irrigation Design (SABI) Certificate Valley Module A, B, C, D, E experience Model Maker Design (Drip, Micro, Sprinkler, Pivots) experience Drivers License Duties and Responsibilities Conduct topographical surveys on farms. Facilitate client expectations (water licence requirements and envisaged crop water requirement). Prepare conceptional irrigation design and discuss with client. Prepare a final detailed design. Compile a final bill of quantities. Liaise with the Operation Head with regards to costing. Ensure delivery of irrigation products. On-farm technical irrigation services and sales: Understand and address the clients specific irrigation needs after conducting an analysis and identifying problem solving methods. Ensure fault-finding with irrigation equipment and ensure the performance thereof. Evaluate the irrigation systems and pump stations according to Agricultural Research Commission (ARC) standards.
