Job Description
Assistant Quantity Surveyor
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the commercial team in managing the financial aspects of our civil engineering projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and gain valuable experience in quantity surveying within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of tender documents and quotations for submission to our customers.
* Place orders for the supply of labour, plant and materials
* Assist with the preparation of valuations of the work for payment and agree with client
Qualifications and Skills
· HNC Construction and the Built Environment as a minimum.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, clients and subcontractors
· Attention to detail with the ability to work methodically and accurately under pressure.
· Ability to identify issues, think critically and propose effective solutions.
· A valid UK driving license is essential as site visits will be required.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in quantity surveying preferably within the civil engineering or construction sector. Recent graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply
