Permanent
Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm)
Office-based with occasional travel.
Salary: £30 - 35,000 plus commission (uncapped), bonuses and incentives
Are you an experienced sales/account management professional looking to take on your next challenge in a company which offers fantastic growth and progression?
Do you have a consultative approach and a love of developing your network?
Would you like to join an expanding business that designs outdoor projects in the construction sector?
If so, this could be exactly what you have been looking for.
We have a superb opportunity to join a growing business as an experienced Business Development Manager to join their organisation and take over a portfolio of existing clients within your own region. This is an additional vacancy which has been created to meet growing demand from existing clients and tap into new business opportunities.
You will not be building your desk from scratch: our client is an established industry leader with a strong brand and excellent reputation, with several projects already confirmed and a substantial quote bank. Although there is a strong element of account management and relationship building, you still need to have the desire and capability to find new clients, generate new opportunities and maximise business.
You will be working from a brand-new office space located just outside of Northampton, complete with state-of-the-art kitchen and onsite gym; there will be travel (~ quarterly) to visit clients and local authorities within your region but otherwise the role is office-based - if seeking a remote or field sales position then this won't be for you.
Due to the location of the office you will need your own transport.
Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager include:
Manage and grow an existing quote bank and portfolio of clients, liaising with key stakeholders and nurturing relationships.
Manage a portfolio of your own key customers, with the aim of gaining additional business in other areas
Gain an accurate brief from the client, working with the project management and design teams to produce and close quotes.
Take responsibility for marketing strategy, promoting via email, telephone canvassing and social media channels.
The role also encompasses managing the marketing strategy for the business, actively promoting via email marketing, canvassing and social media channels. To be successful in the role of Business Development Manager you must demonstrate:
Experience of selling into the construction industry would be ideal
Proven experience working in a business development role, with a confident phone manner and experience of negotiating.

An autonomous, self-motivated professional who can achieve targets and enjoys new challenges.
Commercially aware with the ability to understand new industries quickly.
Own transport required. If you have the relevant experience our client is looking for, we would like to hear from you.
