A bit about the job:
The purpose of this role is to provide risk and control guidance and support to aligned areas of UK GI Claims. Identify potential risks, assess their impact, and design risk mitigation plans to safeguard the business and our customers. You'll support claims delivery against customer regulatory and risk frameworks through insight and risk management and ensure compliance with the Aviva Risk framework, relevant policies and standards and regulator expectations.

A bit about the job:
The purpose of this role is to provide risk and control guidance and support to aligned areas of UK GI Claims. Identify potential risks, assess their impact, and design risk mitigation plans to safeguard the business and our customers. You'll support claims delivery against customer regulatory and risk frameworks through insight and risk management and ensure compliance with the Aviva Risk framework, relevant policies and standards and regulator expectations.
What you'll do:
- Provide guidance and support to claims areas on the identification, assessment, and management of risks, conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and assess the likelihood and impact of those risks on the organization.
- Maintain a robust Control framework and appropriate governance processes to support the achievement of customer and business outcomes, and to manage Risk at a tolerance level.
- Manage the control testing approach for allocated controls and overseeing the allocation of this testing with the risk and customer consultants.
- Prepare risk and control assessment packs including recommendations on assessment outcomes.
- Act as a first point of contact for risk and control queries for aligned Claims business area operating as a conduit between operations, COO and 1st/2nd and 3rd line risk colleagues.
- Support the development of risk and conduct reports for a variety of audiences and governance forums ensuring consistency across GI Claims and efficiency in reporting processes.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Good understanding of risk, compliance, governance, and audit principles/methodology (e.g. ORCM).
- Communication, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Relationship and stakeholder management at all levels up to and including Directors.
- Decision making - ability to demonstrate sound judgement.
- Proactive approach to resolving problems with a solution mentality.

- Salary circa £48,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
