What the Job Involves
- Conducting occupational therapy assessments, targeting deficits and planning interventions to meet clients' self-maintenance, productivity, and leisure needs.
- Working collaboratively with clients, families, and caregivers to set and achieve occupational therapy goals as part of an overall care plan.
- Implementing individual or group interventions using graded activities to reach therapeutic goals, and monitoring their effectiveness.
- Engaging in care coordination, discharge planning, and liaising with various health and social care sectors to provide a coordinated service.
- Ensuring appropriate documentation of client information and interventions in line with professional standards.
- Participating in service development initiatives, training, clinical governance, and contributing to the planning and audit of clinical practices.
- Managing resources within the Occupational Therapy department, maintaining stock and equipment, and prioritizing caseloads effectively.
