About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) who is passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives. You’ll work closely with teachers to deliver small-group interventions and one-on-one sessions, helping students build confidence and succeed in foundational subjects like English and Maths. Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with young children, particularly in a school or educational setting.
• A passion for education and a strong desire to support children’s academic and social development.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with children from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of SEN support techniques and an understanding of different learning styles.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the class teacher in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Conduct one-on-one and small-group interventions, tailored to meet individual student needs.
• Assist students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Key Stage 1, providing additional support in literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Monitor and document student progress, sharing observations with the class teacher to adapt lesson plans.
• Promote positive behavior and encourage social interactions that align with the school’s values.
