What you'll be doing...
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in daily operations and food preparation to uphold company's reputation for quality and service
- Helping with menu planning, paperwork, and administrative tasks such as record-keeping and time tracking
- Upholding Taylor Shaw standards on hygiene, food safety, health & safety, and adhering to all relevant regulations
- Promptly responding to any incidents including accidents, thefts, damage, and property loss
- Supporting staff training and induction, while participating in ongoing personal training
- Monitoring portion control and maintaining cleanliness of the premises and equipment
- Assisting with dining furniture setup, cleaning, and storage
- Undertaking any other duties necessary for the efficient running of the unit, as requested by the Cook Supervisor or Unit Manager
- Being ready to cover staff at other units within the contract when required

In this role:
- Good secondary education. Either achieved craft qualifications or willing to study for them
- Numerate and able to communicate in written and spoken English
- Has the potential to plan kitchen activities and organise the work of others
- Demonstrates flair and innovation
- Potential to undertake menu planning and costing
- Committed to achieving good standards of food hygiene
