Job Description
X3 Teaching Assistants required for full-time work for KS3/ 4 College
SENCare are working closely with a College in the Deptford area who cater for students with autism(ASC) and social emotional mental health needs(SEMH). The College are urgently seeking Teaching Assistants to support College’s vision to provide an outstanding education to some of the boroughs most vulnerable learners and, to be an inspirational role model.
The students have experienced difficulties in mainstream schools and often have behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing classroom support in literacy, numeracy and, life-long skills(small classes) to teaching staff and for suitable candidates, permanent contracts can be offered. The Teaching Assistant position starts ASAP, will be Monday – Friday, from 08:30 – 16:00 and training is available at the College!
Prospective candidates are required to have:
* A DBS issued within the last 3 years or, be willing to apply for a new enhanced disclosure.
* Previous experience supporting secondary aged pupils.
* Previous experience supporting SEN(autism, challenging behaviour, learning difficulties) pupils.
* Graduates are welcome to apply.
* Applications from those who have excellent English and Maths skills are welcomed
