School Careers Advisor (Part-Time) - Bexley
Are you passionate about helping young people shape their future? We are seeking an enthusiastic Careers Advisor to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in Bexley. This is a part-time role, 4 days per week, perfect for someone dedicated to guiding students through important career decisions and academic pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert one-on-one careers advice and guidance to students.
Help students identify their strengths, interests, and career aspirations.
Organize and conduct workshops, career fairs, and talks with local employers and colleges.
Assist with applications for apprenticeships, university, and work experience opportunities.
Support students with UCAS applications
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the job market, apprenticeships, and further education.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' career development.Requirements:
Experience in careers guidance, preferably within an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and inspire young people.
Knowledge of local labour markets and opportunities.
Possess a Valid Enhanced DBS
