One of our key clients is seeking a motivated individual to step into a newly created, high-impact role within their team. Initially, the focus will be on training and development but will later move into a management role as the role progresses. The role is still hands on, therefore, will involve some time on the tools.
Following recent growth, the company has secured several national contracts and significantly expanded their team of Engineers, many of whom bring expertise in a single discipline-either automatic doors or industrial doors. The division covers automatic doors, industrial doors, gates, and barriers, offering a comprehensive service across these areas.
The company is committed to cross-training and is looking for someone who can support the development of single-discipline Engineers into well-rounded, multi-skilled professionals. This role will also involve helping less experienced Engineers reach full competency across multiple specialisations, ensuring a high standard of expertise across the team.
This position will require the Individual to take complete ownership of Engineer inductions and onboarding. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to working closely with new hires during their first three months, familiarising them with company processes and products through hands-on training at the company training facility. As these Engineers become proficient in diverse disciplines, the role will gradually evolve to encompass more traditional management responsibilities.
This role requires a flexible and adaptable approach, as the company operates within a vast business framework, though the department itself is small. The ideal candidate should have a readiness to support other areas as needed, demonstrating a team-oriented, all-hands-on-deck mindset.
