Job Description

You will serve as a Joint Forces HQ Exercise Planner of COMUSNAVEUR-COMSIXTHFLEET SEA Capodichino, Italy. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience may include: Directing the development/review of Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES)/Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) policies and objectives to build a training exercise program with host agencies. Implementing Joint Training System to support development and execution of the Joint Forces Headquarters exercise program. Applying Joint Training Management System (JTIMS) and the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) to plan exercises, training events and supervise periodic exercise training assessments and reporting. Coordinating Staff Efforts to develop and review Joint Exercise Life Cycles (JELCs), exercise concepts, exercise objectives, Mission Essential Task Lists (METLs), training plans, exercise scenarios, force requirements, logistics, assessments and the integration of Special Operations Forces (SOF) into conventional training exercises. Negotiating effectively with military officials and civilians to participate in exercises which may not align with structured policies.
