The Role

At Kyndryl, our Customer Technology Advisors (CTAs) and Senior Resiliency Consultants are at the forefront of innovation, pushing boundaries to transform how our customers conduct business. As a CTA and Senior Resiliency Consultant, your focus will be on Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Cyber Incident Recovery, providing expertise in storage, backup, airgap, data vaulting, and datacenters/cloud environments. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-value projects, with the additional responsibility of contributing to technical pre-sales activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • High-Value Project Delivery: Lead and manage high-value resiliency projects, working closely with clients to understand their unique needs and assess their current resilience posture. Provide expert guidance on best practices for business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber incident recovery.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to participate in pre-sales activities, including client meetings, presentations, and the development of proposals that address customer resiliency challenges and demonstrate our value proposition.
  • Hands-on Implementation: Design and implement resiliency controls, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy advanced technologies, including storage solutions, backup systems, airgap mechanisms, and data vaulting.
  • Vulnerability Assessments and Audits: Conduct thorough resilience assessments to identify potential risks. Your detailed reports and findings will support management decisions and actions.
  • Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Stay ahead of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in business continuity and disaster recovery. Your recommendations will enhance the organization's resilience posture, keeping it at the forefront of defense.
  • IT Infrastructure and Application Resiliency: Lend your expertise to the design and review of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications, ensuring resilience is integrated from inception.
  • DevSecOps, Cloud Migration, and IT Modernization: Drive the integration of resilience practices into DevOps processes, facilitate cloud migrations, and contribute to IT modernization efforts to ensure secure, resilient, and scalable solutions.
  • Collaborative Impact: Work with customers and vendors on resilience assessments, audits, and due diligence activities. Your knowledge will shape secure and resilient collaborations and partnerships.
  • Cyber Resilience Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive cyber resilience strategies that integrate with overall business continuity plans, ensuring organizations can withstand, rapidly respond to, and recover from cyber attacks.
  • Incident Response Planning: Design and implement robust incident response plans, including tabletop exercises and simulations to test and improve organizational readiness for various cyber and operational disruptions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that resilience and continuity plans meet relevant industry and government regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, DORA, NIS2, or sector-specific requirements.

Who You Are

Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber incident recovery consulting and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of resilience principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience managing risks related to information processing, storage, or transmission.
  • Experience conducting resilience assessments using frameworks like ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, DORA, NIS2, and ANSSI Guides.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex resilience concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to adapt to changing resilience threats and stay updated with the latest trends and best practices.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to continuously learn and apply new knowledge in a rapidly evolving field.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with business impact analysis (BIA) and recovery time objective (RTO) / recovery point objective (RPO) determination.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.

Expertise
  • Expertise in multiple resiliency domains such as:
    • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)
    • Cyber Incident Recovery and IT Service Continuity
    • Storage Solutions and Backup Systems
    • Airgap Mechanisms and Data Vaulting
    • Datacenters and Cloud Environments
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning for predictive resilience and automated incident response.
  • Experience with containerization and microservices architecture resilience.

Concrete Project Experience
  • Proven experience in leading and delivering successful resilience projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement resilience controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with deploying advanced resilience technologies and conducting thorough resilience assessments.
  • Experience in quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies.
  • Accreditation to work with government authorities or regulated industries, with an opportunity to pass ANSSI Accreditation.
