Job Description
Brilliant entry level opportunty for graduates with a scientific background. You will join the team as Raw Material Specialist working with both the R&D team and Suppliers. The function of the role is to support the technical aspects of managing raw material data, building awareness of key chemical legislations (REACH, CLP, GPSR, CSR). You will recieve comprehensive training throughout your time with the company. It is an initial 12 Month position, with good scope for further.
Role Responsibilities
Awareness of key chemical legislations such as CLP, REACH, GPSR, CSR.
Communicate with raw material suppliers to request for data, including Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and Technical Data Sheets (TDSs).
To be able to understand scientific data from SDSs & external, publicly available data (e.g ECHA), such as substance or mixture classifications.
Understand toxicology to process and analyse data to help facilitate business decision making.
Provide technical regulatory expertise on chemicals for product regulatory assessments.
Update and maintain data on pure substances & raw materials within systems such as SAP
Monitor the regulatory horizon of regulatory impacts on chemicals, such as ATPs and the impact this may have on products.

Relevant scientific degree, or equivalent (Chemistry, Biology or Toxicology is beneficial)
The role is hybrid so should be willing to work 3 days in the office
