Job Description

ProBio proactively provides end-to-end CDMO service from drug discovery to commercialization with proactive strategies, professional solutions and efficient processes in cell and gene therapy (CGT), vaccine, biologics discovery and antibody protein drug to accelerate drug development for customers. ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing. In terms of plasmid service, ProBio supports the most clinical approvals for CGT drugs including mRNA vaccines, CAR-T in China. It is also the first GMP manufacturing platform to provide in vitro transcription (IVT) template linearized plasmids for mRNA vaccines and has supported several mRNA vaccine global enterprises to obtain clinical approvals. In terms of viral vector service, ProBio has a stable and high-yield viral vector platform.


Job Scope:


We are seeking a Sr. Regional Marketing Specialist who will be instrumental in shaping and executing marketing strategies to drive lead generation, brand growth, and market penetration.

As a member of the marketing leadership team, you will lead Europe regional marketing initiatives, set strategic priorities, and manage key marketing programs from conception to execution. Reporting directly to the Sr. Regional Marketing Manager, you will work across cross-functional teams to build and execute comprehensive marketing plans aligned with business growth objectives.


You will take ownership of omnichannel marketing strategies, integrating digital and traditional approaches to maximize lead generation, customer engagement, and brand awareness. This includes guiding content development, spearheading regional campaigns, and ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. Additionally, you will mentor and develop a team of marketing professionals, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end campaign management, from strategic planning to execution and analysis. You will lead high-impact marketing initiatives, including regional events, tradeshows, and product launches, positioning the company as a leader in its sector. Furthermore, you will be tasked with optimizing marketing performance by leveraging data-driven insights, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and continuously refining strategies to achieve maximum ROI.


Your role will ensure that all marketing efforts are coordinated, creative, and contribute to the company’s competitive positioning in the market. You will stay ahead of industry trends, exploring new technologies and methods to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.



What You’ll Be Doing:


  1. Strategic Content Marketing & Creative Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive content strategies aligned with SEO best practices and business objectives. Oversee the creative process from ideation to launch, ensuring high-quality and compelling content across all platforms, including sales decks, marketing collateral, websites, blogs, press releases, email campaigns, social media, eBooks, sales pitch materials, and more. Guide the content strategy to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with the brand’s overall positioning and market goals.
  2. Lead Generation: Develop and implement sophisticated customer segmentation and targeting strategies to drive lead generation across all channels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design omni-channel marketing plans aimed at increasing brand visibility, customer engagement, and improving conversion rates. Ensure the lead generation efforts are integrated across both digital and traditional marketing platforms to maximize outreach and business impact.
  3. Lead Nurturing Campaigns & Strategic Outreach: Oversee the design and execution of nurturing campaigns, ensuring alignment with customer journeys and addressing key pain points at each stage. Strategically lead cold outreach and discovery call efforts, focusing on identifying high-potential opportunities and qualifying prospects that align with business growth goals.
  4. Event/Tradeshow Management: Take ownership of planning and executing high-profile internal and external events, conferences, and tradeshows. Develop strategies that elevate brand visibility, drive lead generation, and support overall business development goals. Oversee budget management, ROI analysis, and ensure events are aligned with broader marketing strategies. Additionally, manage internal events such as retreats and corporate initiatives that foster company culture and brand alignment.
  5. End-to-End Campaign Management & Execution: Design and lead the execution of large-scale marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring they align with company-wide goals and support sales initiatives. Provide strategic direction for campaign timelines, creative development, execution, and post-campaign analysis.
  6. Sales Alignment & Collaboration: Act as the primary marketing liaison for the Europe sales team, ensuring that marketing initiatives are fully aligned with sales goals and contribute meaningfully to lead nurturing and conversion strategies. Collaborate with sales leadership to develop joint strategies that enhance the customer journey, increasing both engagement and revenue.
  7. Channel Analysis & Optimization: Continuously research and analyze the most effective marketing channels, optimizing strategies based on performance data to maximize ROI. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on campaign outcomes, leveraging insights to refine and improve marketing strategies.
  8. Innovative Marketing Solutions: Lead creative marketing initiatives that attract prospects, combining both digital and traditional marketing methods.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, company offerings, and competitive landscape to continually enhance the effectiveness of nurturing campaigns and cold outreach efforts.


Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Bioprocessing, Fermentation Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology with 1-2+ years of industry/commercial experience in business development, product marketing, product management, and demonstrated portfolio showcasing successful marketing campaigns in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
  2. (OR) Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, with 2-3+ years of agency or CDMO experience with demonstrated a portfolio showcasing successful marketing campaigns advertising toward the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
  3. Experience of working in start-up, fast-paced, team-oriented environments, growth hacking or marketing, ideally within pre-IPO companies in life sciences, advertising or marketing agencies, or related industries.
  4. Proven track record working on campaigns to targeted audiences using across various channels in addition to paid advertising, social media and other digital marketing channels (digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, and LinkedIn Ads)
  5. Experience with cold outbound calls to generate leads
  6. Proficiency with marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, Chilipiper, Zoho, HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics.
  7. Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and experience developing content for websites, blogs, email campaigns, and social media (Moz, SEMRush)
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling, targeted content.
  9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment using project management tools (Teams, Kanban, Trello, Jira)
  10. Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and the ability to channel creativity toward achieving business goals.
  11. Goal-oriented self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  12. Willingness to travel (10-30%).


Preferred Qualifications:


  1. 1-3+ years of professional (non-internship) marketing experience in a fast-paced life science marketing agency or a start-up marketing agency with a proven track record of supporting biotech, pharmaceutical, and healthcare clients, specifically in areas such as Antibody Discovery, Cell and Gene Therapies, Biologics, Bioprocessing, CDMO, and CRO
  2. Strong portfolio showcasing development, planning and result of past marketing campaigns in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries, along with examples of using customer research, hard data, to back up assumptions on client acquisition strategy using omni-channel marketing to develop, plan and assess marketing channels for attribution analysis.
  3. Proven experience marketing to biotech and pharmaceutical companies as a service provider (CDMO, Bioprocessing) or managing clients in these sectors within a life-sciences agency.
  4. Experience in marketing agencies, startups, or fast-paced environments, managing vendors/supplies, managing agencies to execute diverse campaigns and projects.
  5. Exposure to cross-functional project with drug commercialization, pricing/market access, market research and analytics, and business development
  6. Track record of innovative strategy development, alignment, and implementation
  7. Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors
  8. Familiarity with any graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, as well as video editing software for social media.
