Role: Regular Giving and Engagement Officer
Hours: This role is full time and year-round.
Reports to: Head of Supporter Engagement
We are seeking an experienced Regular Giving and Engagement Officer to support the Schools fantastic Foundation and External Relations department. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt quickly and will possess excellent communication skills to interact with people at all levels. They will work as an integral member of the Professional Services Staff here at Elstree.
Key Responsibilities
The Haberdashers’ Elstree Schools have launched an ambitious programme to build dynamic relationships with alumni, parents and friends, and to undertake new fundraising initiatives to support the work of the schools. This work is conducted through the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Elstree Schools’ Foundation, which raises vital funds for the two Elstree schools, Habs Boys and Habs Girls. The Regular Giving and Engagement Officer will support the Head of Supporter Engagement in delivering annual giving campaigns, including giving days, telephone campaigns and/or direct mail appeals. This will require project managing complex, community-wide events and activities. The postholder will work closely with the Head of Supporter Engagement and the Director of Development to determine the strategy and tactics needed to deliver ambitious annual-giving fundraising and community engagement goals. The Regular Giving and Engagement Officer will also play a key role in the team’s efforts to build strong, mutually rewarding relationships among Habs alumni and between alumni and the students, staff, parents and friends of the schools This will include preparing and delivering plans for a key milestone anniversarys at the Girls’ School: the 150th anniversary of its founding, to be commemorated in 2025. The postholder will work closely with other members of the foundation team to deliver a full range of other engagement and fundraising activities that benefit both schools.

What We Look For:
- Demonstrable experience of central role in delivering successful annual fundraising appeals
- Demonstrable experience of working as part of a team to plann and deliver large-scale events with multiple constituencies
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to prioritise own schedule and work to strict deadlines
- Evidence of the effective use of a variety of social media channels to advance an institution’s mission (especially LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram)
