Job Description

Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent role of Civil & Enforcement Legal Advisor

This role provides an opportunity for a legal professional or a legal graduate with a background or knowledge in civil litigation to manage enforcement files and client relationships while ensuring the timely recovery of funds and maintaining high standards of client care.

You will Initially be given training/ mentoring/shadowing before you are given your own case load

Purpose of the role

Responsible for a small caseload of Enforcement files relating to Settlement Agreements, Employment, RTA and EL/PL claims at the Sheffield office.

To ensure the timely recovery of costs owed to the firm, settlement amounts or judgement debts whilst ensuring excellent client care

Building working relationships with clients, and external third parties such as enforcement agencies.

Key tasks & responsibilities:

Providing Legal Advice on Civil Litigation:

* Advising clients on a range of topics, including settlement agreements, employment disputes, road traffic accidents (RTA), employer liability (EL), and public liability (PL) claims.

* Responding to legal inquiries promptly and accurately to meet the needs of the clients.

* Handling files effectively to ensure the timely recovery of funds owed to the firm.

* Conducting legal research and drafting correspondence or documents relevant to enforcement proceedings.

Client Care and Case Management:

* Ensuring that clients receive excellent service, with prompt updates and clear communication throughout the case lifecycle.

* Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of all client communications and case developments in the firm's case management system.

Target Achievement & Compliance:

* Staying updated on any changes to relevant laws and procedures that may impact civil litigation or enforcement practices.

Building and Maintaining Relationships:

* Developing and maintaining professional working relationships with clients and third parties such as enforcement agencies.

* Acting as the primary point of contact for clients regarding enforcement matters.

* Collaborating with internal teams, and external legal professionals to ensure effective case resolution.

File Progression:

* Ensuring the timely progression of all enforcement files, from initiating enforcement proceedings to achieving settlement or recovering judgment debts.

* Liaising with enforcement agencies or third parties to ensure actions are taken efficiently and within legal frameworks.

Key Skills & Experience:

Legal Expertise: An understanding of civil litigation would beneficial

Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.

Problem-Solving: Capable of resolving legal matters

Attention to Detail: Thorough and meticulous approach to file management, legal research, and compliance with SLAs.

Other information

* Location: Sheffield S9

* Hours: Office-based - Monday to Friday 35 hours a week

* Covering 3 shifts on a week-by-week rota 8am – 4pm /9am – 5pm /10am – 6pm

* Salary range: £21,360 - £11.73ph

* Holidays 25 with an extra day accrued for each year worked up to a maximum of 31 + Bank Hols

* Death in service – 2x gross salary
