Job Description

Are you a skilled HGV Technician / Plant Fitter / Crane Fitter?

You will need a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles, like Scania or Volvo trucks, as well as cranes, engines, hydraulics systems, Pneumatics etc. General maintenance, to make sure the fleet keeps running, and is out of trouble.

Also work closely with the OEM maintenance teams, for yearly services, and issues that may arise.

This is a professional company with a very wide range of kits, from pickers, cranes, and forklifts to HGV, flatbed and HIABs. A LARGE range of plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of HGV trucks, trailers, and cranes.

* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, oil changes, and tyre replacements.

* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.

* Work efficiently and independently to meet deadlines.

* Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as an HGV Technician or Plant Fitter

* An apprenticeship in Mechanics/Automotive/Plant would be desired, but official qualifications is a must.

* Strong knowledge of HGVs, Plant machinery and/or Off-highway vehicles.

* Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

* A valid HGV license (Class 1 or 2) would be great.

Salary

* Hourly rate is around £19-£23 an hour, depending on experience.

* Friendly and supportive work environment.

Must have the right to work in the UK
