About the role:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with children who require additional support in their English language development. This part-time role involves assisting in small group interventions, leading booster sessions, and working one-on-one with students to help them achieve their full potential. You will collaborate with teachers to create tailored resources and strategies, ensuring every child feels included and supported. The role also includes assisting with classroom activities, monitoring progress, and providing pastoral care to nurture the well-being of every pupil.
Application Requirements:
• Have experience working with children, particularly in a Key Stage 1 setting.
• Be confident supporting students with EAL needs.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be proactive, patient, and adaptable.
• Hold a relevant qualification or equivalent experience in education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support EAL students in developing English language skills.
• Deliver small group interventions and booster sessions.
• Assist the class teacher in preparing and organizing resources.
• Monitor and report on student progress.
• Provide pastoral support, ensuring the well-being of all pupils.
