About the role: The academy is seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. In this role, you’ll primarily focus on teaching writing skills to Year 6 students, with responsibilities across four different classes. The position is full-time, from Monday to Friday, with additional support provided from Monday to Wednesday. You’ll have a unique opportunity to work with students to develop their writing abilities, encouraging creativity, clarity, and confidence in written expression. There’s no planning required, allowing you to focus entirely on teaching and classroom engagement. The role suits both experienced primary teachers and secondary teachers with an English specialisation who have strong classroom management skills and a passion for developing young writers.

• Teach writing skills to Year 6 students across four classes, with a focus on achieving curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly and productive atmosphere.
• Collaborate with support staff and other teachers to ensure consistency and continuity in students' learning experiences.
• Assess and provide feedback on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
