Psychology Graduate - Teaching Assistant (SEND School, Liverpool)
Location: Liverpool
Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £75 - £90 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you a Psychology graduate passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant in a dynamic SEND school in Liverpool!
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and other additional learning needs. Your role will include:
Providing one-to-one and group support to students.
Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
Using your knowledge of psychology to implement strategies that enhance student's engagement and learning outcomes.
Supporting students with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills development.
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.About You:
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, empathetic, and eager to grow within a supportive school environment. The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Psychology or a related field.
A genuine interest in working with children with SEND.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Previous experience in an educational or care setting (preferred but not essential).Why Join Us?
