Your Role
As a Residential Childcare Trainer, you’ll:
* Guide learners through their apprenticeship journey, sharing your expertise and passion for the residential childcare sector.
* Conduct detailed assessments, tailoring your support to meet individual needs.
* Build essential skills, including English and Mathematics, to prepare learners for success.
* Manage a caseload of up to 40 learners, ensuring they excel at their End-Point Assessment (EPA).
* Plan and deliver engaging teaching, learning, and assessment activities.
* Regularly review progress and adapt coaching strategies to drive results.
* Offer valuable advice and guidance to promote holistic learner development.
* Maintain accurate and efficient E-Portfolio records.
What You’ll Need
* Essential:
* Solid occupational experience in a residential childcare setting.
* Residential Childcare qualification up to Level 5.
* UK driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
* Preferred:
* Teaching qualifications like PTLLS, AET, Cert Ed, or equivalent (trainees with strong experience will also be considered).
* Assessor’s qualifications such as CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent.
* Willingness to Grow: Open to undertaking training to stay at the forefront of the field.
