Maintenance Engineer
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days and nights
Role Purpose
The Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician will ensure high-quality, scheduled, and reactive maintenance across the site. The focus includes diagnosing root causes of issues, quickly restoring equipment to service, and identifying cost-effective solutions to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability. You would be working in a plastic environment, so a plasitic or packaging background would be a ideal for this role although it's not essential.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform planned, condition-based, and corrective maintenance
Ensure swift and accurate fault diagnosis and equipment restoration.
Technical Skills & Competence:
Work with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
Demonstrate strong electrical skills and sound mechanical diagnostic and replacement abilities.
Apply basic automation skills for fault-finding.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement asset and equipment improvements.
Contribute to Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
Recognized apprenticeship completion.
Preferred: Electrical or Mechanical qualification (with additional electrical competence).
Relevant certifications (ONC/HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
Skills & Experience:
Maintenance experience within manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with automation and continuous improvement tools/techniques is advantageous
