Location: Cannock with hybrid working available

What you'll be doing:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will assist the wider team in the production of the monthly management accounts, reports and admin, purchase ordering system as well as support for budget preparation and statutory audits. This includes:

Assisting in financial reporting, including processing month-end accruals and other journals within the company's deadline and balance sheet reconciliations

Assisting with the control of the purchase ordering system ensuring all queries are dealt with and PO's are cleared in a timely manner

Providing support management and reporting of maintenance accounts, including management of service agreements and monitor the business KPIs

Assist in Budget Preparation

Assist in the detail required for Statutory audits

Ensure all timesheets are completed on a weekly basis and re-charged correctly across Veolia
What we're looking for:

An individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to all internal and external customers.

A confident, proactive individual who has good attention to detail, and a strong communicator (verbal and written)

A team player

Interested in studying towards a finance qualification (AAT,CIMA,ACCA)

Minimum GCSE education with minimum grade 5 (equivalent to level C) or above in Mathematics.

Knowledge of Excel and Google Office Suite would be advantageous
