Position: Fabricator/ Welder
Salary: >£37500
Location: Hertfordshire
Role: Full time, 40 hour week, permanent position
Essential Site Solutions are looking for a Fabricator/ Welder to join our specialised glazing client to join them on a permanent basis.
Duties for the Fabricator/ Welder:
* Read and interpret drawings
* Measure, cut, and shape metal components using various tools and equipment
* Assemble fabricated parts to create finished products or structures
* Weld components together using various welding techniques such as MIG or TIG
* Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills for the Fabricator/ Welder:
* Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
* Strong ability to read technical drawings
* Knowledge of various types and grades of materials
* Experience in metal fabrication and welding techniques
* Ability to operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, and welding machines
* Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
* Must have MIG/ TIG experience with various materials
* The role is predominantly galvanised steel but there is stainless steel and brass on some projects
About the role for the Fabricator/ Welder:
* Starting rate advertised is based on a 40 hour week
* Hours are Monday to Thursday 8-5 then Friday is a 3.30pm
* Overtime is paid at x1.5 after 40 hours.
* 23 days holiday
