About the role
Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Tax Specialist and play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Your expertise will directly impact the financial well-being of our employees by guaranteeing that payroll taxes are calculated, processed, and reported accurately. You'll be a vital part of our HR team, working collaboratively to maintain compliance with tax regulations and provide exceptional employee support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll tax entries. Ensure that documents received are properly completed and authorized prior to assure timely processing.
- Review payroll tax entry prior to the live production of the payroll.
- Reconcile data errors and communicate/record corrective action.
- Process payroll related activities such as W4 processing, daily report processing, corrective data entry etc.
- Respond to external inquiries from employees and management inquiries related to payroll.
- Assist with balancing year-end payroll filings and year-end reports legislation and deadlines (i.e. W-2s).
- Assist with projects and assignments as required.
Requirements:
- Must have 2 years of related experience in a Payroll/Tax related position within a national organization.
- College Education or equivalent in a related discipline (Accounting, Finance, Tax or Payroll).
- Must have knowledge of the GlobalView (ADP) SAP based payroll system.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel or Word).
- Must have payroll and tax experience.
- Sound knowledge of Payroll Administration and Human Resources practices and procedures APA – CPP or CFP recommended.
- Good human relations and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal personnel.
