The Team

Our team focuses on state of art Bluetooth, ZigBee, Z-wave, Wi-Fi, and multi-protocols products design power amplifiers, LNA, Mixers, PLLs, ADCs, and DACs. Due to product applications, the focus and challenge will be on making these designs with exceptionally low power.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage an IC design team in the IoT RF IC design group

  2. Provide hands-on technical leadership and training for design staff

  3. Lead the design team through the product development cycle including feasibility studies, specifications, competitive analysis, technical choices, design, integration, validation, verification, and production test

  4. Contribute to define design approaches and flow for design team

  5. Attend reviews to help guarantee high quality designs and effective reviews

  6. Oversee evaluation of design results by laboratory measurements to assure technical and performance objectives are met

  7. Collaborate with worldwide Design, Marketing, Validation and PTE teams throughout the design life cycle

  8. Recruit, select, develop, and motivate the best engineers to ensure the efficient operation of the function

  9. Function as an advisor to the team to meet schedules and resolve technical problems


Qualifications:

  1. Direct experience designing and bringing into mass production analog circuits

  2. Advanced understanding of system specification and ability to work with system/application engineers to translate system requirements into circuit requirements at the IC level

  3. Advanced understanding of design tradeoffs for performance, power and area optimization

  4. Prior experience designing RF blocks such as: LNAs, mixers, PAs, RF frequency synthesizers (PLLs), baseband amplifiers, and data converters

  5. Knowledge of signals, systems, and transforms

  6. Knowledge of calibration circuits for compensating process/voltage/temperature variations

  7. Solid experience in silicon characterization and debug

  8. Proficiency in Cadence Design Environment for Analog, Mixed-Signal and RF designs (Cadence Analog Design Environment, Cadence Virtuoso, SpectreRF, EMX, AFS etc.)

  9. Prior Experience in silicon bring-up, lab measurements and characterization using digital, analog and RF test-equipment

  10. MS, MSc in Electrical Engineering and 5 or more years of design experience

  11. An advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience required

  12. 3 or more years of experience leading teams or project development in the area of RF or analog IC design

  13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Fluent English)

  14. Scripting in Python, Skill, Ocean, Perl, Unix Shell, etc. is a plus

  15. Experience with Matlab or other high-level modeling language/tool for designing and evaluating communication systems and algorithms is a plus
