Location: Cambridge
Salary: £25,918 – £27,661 per annum (full year, 37 hours per week)
Contract Type: Permanent
Annual Leave: 27 days per year, plus bank holidays

About the Role:
Are you passionate about guiding apprentices on their career journey? We are looking for a motivated Apprenticeship Mentor to join our client's team in Cambridge. This role will take overall responsibility for a caseload of learners, providing high-quality training, coaching, mentoring, and assessment to help them achieve their apprenticeship and qualification goals.
As the primary point of contact for both learners and employers, you will create positive relationships, ensuring learners receive the necessary support to develop their skills and knowledge. You'll be involved in both in-college and workplace training, ensuring learners progress through their individual learning plans and are fully prepared for End Point Assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of learners, providing tailored coaching, training, and assessments.
* Develop and deliver comprehensive training plans that align with the requirements of End Point Assessments (EPA).
* Act as the main liaison between learners, employers, and the client to ensure effective communication and support.
* Assess learners' starting points and establish individual learning plans to facilitate timely progress.
* Plan and deliver training sessions both at the employer's premises and in college to enhance learners' Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSB).
* Provide ongoing advice and guidance on career opportunities and wellbeing support.
* Ensure robust planning, tracking, and monitoring of off-the-job training.
* Utilize electronic platforms (e.g., Smart Assessor) to create training resources and track learner progress.
* Conduct regular review meetings with learners and employers to assess progress and set goals.
* Support learners with English, Maths, and digital skills development, including Functional Skills qualifications.
* Maintain compliance with Health and Safety regulations and safeguarding standards.
* Contribute to the business development of the client by building industry links, attending events, and recruiting new learners.
What We Are Looking For:
Essential:
* English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent).
* Relevant Level 3 qualification and willingness to undertake further training.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage a caseload of learners effectively.
* Recent vocational experience or a history of continuous professional development.
* Knowledge of current apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessment requirements.
* Good IT skills and experience using assessment platforms.
Desirable:
* Experience in a professional capacity dealing with employers.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
* A current driving licence and willingness to use your own vehicle for business travel.
Additional Information:
This is a regulated activity, and the successful applicant will require an enhanced DBS check. You will be required to work on and travel between various sites, adhering to our client's lone working policies.
