Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities, including setting up materials, managing student behaviour, and facilitating group work.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help with their academic tasks and assignments.
Help prepare instructional materials and resources, and assist in implementing lesson plans under the guidance of the teacher.
Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, addressing minor issues, and encouraging student participation.
Assist with grading assignments, taking attendance, and maintaining student records as required.
Act as a liaison between students, teachers, and parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Oversee students during non-classroom activities, such as lunch and transitions between classes.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
Requirements:
Teaching Qualification desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning
Previous experience in an educational setting is a plus, but not required
