Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £85-£100 per day

Location: Islington

About the role:

We’re seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. In this full-time, long-term role, you’ll work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and a dedicated team of professionals to create an engaging and supportive environment tailored to meet each student’s individual needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young learners, helping them thrive both academically and socially.

Application Requirements:

• Prior experience as an SEN TA or in a similar supportive role with children with ASD.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to see students succeed.
• A proactive approach to managing challenging behaviours in a positive, constructive manner.
• Relevant qualifications in Education or SEN support (desirable).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with ASD on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Adapt and modify learning activities to cater to individual needs.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting independence and social skills.
• Liaise with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support for each student.
• Monitor and report on student progress, celebrating achievements and identifying areas for growth.
