Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £85-£100 per day

Location: Ealing

About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join our dynamic and inclusive school in Ealing. As an SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting children with SEMH needs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, ensuring they are able to engage with the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment. This full-time, long-term position offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who require additional support.

Your role will involve working closely with classroom teachers and the school’s SENCo to deliver tailored support, both one-on-one and in small groups. The ideal candidate will have experience with SEMH and be passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning, develop coping strategies, and build their confidence.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with additional needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of different learners.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs in Key Stage 1 and 2.
• Collaborating with teachers to adapt lessons and ensure that all students can access the curriculum.
• Supporting the social and emotional development of students, helping them to build resilience and positive behaviour patterns.
• Implementing personalised learning plans in coordination with the SENCo and other support staff.
• Monitoring progress and reporting back to teachers, parents, and SENCo on students’ development.
• Assisting in the creation of a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
