Job Description
Mechanical Fitter / Engineer
Northwich
Site Based role
Key Responsibilities:
Time Served Mechanical Engineering Qualification, Level 3 (or equivalent)
Hands on experience in Mechanical Fitting
Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawing, specifications and work instructions
Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment
Align material and fit together parts to build more complex units
Support Installations on customer sites (limited travel required)
Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
Carry out point of work Risk Assessments when required as part of the machine build process, documenting findings and communicating to all,
Proactively look at ways of continuous improvement.
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are always observed and adhered to, following HSE rules & regulations, including the safe use of PPE
Ensure all work is completed in a safe and timely manner and where required details of work carried out is reported to relevant Supervisor and recorded.
Good understanding of quality control process
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
Ensure all documentation relating to HSE filled correctly on systemRequired Qualifications and Experience
Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, City & Guilds Mechanical qualification or relevant NVQ Level 3.
Experience in a recognised role
Minimum 3 years working in capital equipment manufacturer (preferred)This role is site based and requires a full UK license as travel to client site may be required occasionally (up to 10%)
