Job Duties:

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and installation of plumbing systems
Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
Use hand and power tools to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure plumbing systems meet building codes and standards

Required Qualifications:

Valid plumbing licence
Proven experience as a plumber
Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills

Education:

Completion of an apprenticeship programme or vocational training in plumbing

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a plumber

Knowledge and Skills:

Proficiency in using hand and power tools
Strong understanding of plumbing systems and components
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in specific plumbing areas
Experience working on large-scale construction projects

Working Conditions:

Work in various weather conditions
Physical stamina and strength required for lifting and working in tight spaces
May need to work weekends or evenings to meet project deadlines
