SEND Tutor post-16 (full-time, temporary)
Manchester
£800 - £1100 per week (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
Start date: January 2025
The role
A vibrant, supportive and very highly regarded special needs college in Manchester is seeking to appoint a full time SEND Tutor to deliver a post-16 curriculum to students with Autism and complex needs. Ability levels can vary considerably and a willingness to deliver more than one curriculum area is desired for the role of SEND Tutor. The college has a strong emphasis on life skills and employability as for most learners this is their last experience of education.
Requirements
The desired SEND Tutor will have:
Experience working within a SEND school or with children/young people with physical or learning disabilities of some sort is essential for this teaching role.
Be dedicated and supportive, an excellent communicator, passionate about working with students with SEND.
Possess a recognised UK teaching qualification
The SEND Tutor will be required to deliver an innovative and progressive curriculum.
