Job Description
About the role: This Catholic primary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a motivated Year 6 Teacher to start in January 2025. As the Year 6 Teacher, you will have full class responsibilities, delivering a balanced curriculum that inspires and challenges each student. You’ll play a crucial role in helping students reach their academic potential, as well as their social and emotional growth. You will work alongside a supportive team and contribute to an atmosphere that values community, kindness, and achievement. This role would suit a teacher who has some experience in Year 6 and is confident in handling the curriculum demands and high expectations. We welcome applications from strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs), though please note that we are unable to provide ECT support for this position.

Application Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6.
• A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in a trial day following a successful interview to experience the school’s culture and meet the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Year 6 curriculum, especially focused on SATs preparation.
• Assess, record, and report on pupils’ progress, supporting each child's individual learning needs.
• Build positive relationships with students, fostering a growth mindset and a passion for learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop best practices and ensure a consistent, supportive learning environment.
• Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and assemblies, enriching students’ school experience.
