About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with learning difficulties within mainstream classes. You'll provide essential support to help these students access the curriculum, develop their skills, and build their confidence in a classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist students with learning difficulties in mainstream classes, adapting resources to meet individual needs
Work 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning and provide tailored support
Collaborate with classroom teachers and SEN staff to implement strategies that support student progress
Encourage positive behaviour and a love of learning in all students
Requirements:
A degree (essential)
Genuine passion for working with students with learning difficulties
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
Ability to work well in a team and follow guidance from SEN staff and teachers
