Job Description
About the role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a highly regarded primary school in Enfield for a dedicated professional to join their exceptional Special Educational Needs department. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will be working in a small Additional Resource Provision (ARP) class, where you will assist students with tailored learning activities to meet their individual needs.

Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with ASD or other SEN in a school setting.
• Knowledge of effective SEN strategies and communication techniques.
• A positive, empathetic attitude and a patient approach to learning challenges.
• A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (desirable but not essential).
• A DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing one-to-one and group support to students with ASD.
• Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
• Employing a range of communication strategies, including PECS and Makaton, if applicable.
• Helping manage sensory and behavioral needs through calm, nurturing interventions.
• Monitoring and recording student progress to support ongoing development.
