Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our team based Heysham!
We would be looking for graduates with either an Mechanical, Process and/or Electrical + Instrumentation degree. Ideally having a degree or with a minimum of a HNC qualification to work on an Nuclear Power Station within the Equipment Reliability Team.
After an initial familiarisation and training programme, your role will cover:
Understand and interrogate the Asset Management Suite Programme using various software tools.
Gain an understanding of the maintenance work carried out over specific nominated areas of the plant. This will help you make the analysis and accompanying recommendations for future maintenance and spares required in line with world best practise.
Assist with planned outage work and support where required.
Identify & Address Obsolescence issues with station plant/spares.
Carry out Preventative Maintenance Reviews and Safety System Reviews on a periodic basis.
Assist in the engineering of work packages for routine maintenance and inspections.
Liaise with and assist Engineers as required.
Full training, guidance and support will be provided to enhance your career development.
Someone with 1-2 years post grad experience with document production as well as amendments plus production of short engineering reports would be ideal but this is not essential.
Understand the need for rationalised maintenance and the affect obsolescence has on maintenance.
You will be required to interact closely with system owners Additional training will be provided as part of your development
**PLEASE NOTE***
• Working within a Nuclear Power Station environment, you will be required to undertake Security Clearance BEFORE starting.
• Candidates MUST have a minimum of 4 years UK residency
