About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school community in Havering. This part-time role is perfect for someone enthusiastic about making a difference in young learners' lives by delivering focused support for Key Stage 1 students, particularly those needing additional help with literacy and numeracy. This role focuses on boosters and interventions, aiming to support students' growth and bridge learning gaps in small groups and one-on-one settings.

Application Requirements:
• Relevant Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience working in a primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1 or in intervention roles.
• Skills: Strong communication, empathy, patience, and a positive approach to supporting young learners.
• SEN Experience: Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is an advantage.
• DBS Clearance: An enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interventions: Deliver small group and one-on-one booster sessions focused on literacy and numeracy skills.
• Support: Work closely with class teachers to identify areas where students require additional support.
• SEN Assistance: Assist children with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they have equal opportunities to access the curriculum.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and supporting individualized learning plans.
• Classroom Support: Support the smooth running of daily classroom activities, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
