Mechanical Data Centre Maintenance Engineer - Slough
Location: Slough
Salary: £47,000 plus 10% Bonus
Hours – Days Monday to Friday
Our client who has built their reputation for over 40 years are looking for a Critical Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Critical Data Centre Team on a Data Centre Site based in Slough. The successful candidate will be required to work a Continental Shift and will be rewarded with a £47,000 salary plus 10% Annual Bonus. Ensure environmental conditions are maintained at all times together with 100% uptime of all M&E critical building systems.
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems as a member of the 24/7 on-site team at the Data Centre.
Carrying out daily emergency callout tasks
To monitor the Data Centre environments for changes in condition and identify the cause and provide report to the Team and Customer on the cause and effect.
Assist in ensuring 100% uptime of Customer Data Centres.
Following the move into the building (shell and core), supporting contractor/engineer's activities such as isolations, connections, work permits, etc - where required.
Maintaining systems and assets in a data driven environment, using new digital tools and platforms (training will be provided). Must be flexible and embrace new and emerging technology and techniques.
Completing logbooks and RAMS
Attending client meetings
Engineers must be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of AHU, FCU, UPS, Generators, LV systems, which will include the ability to fault find.Requirements:
Trade trained with ideally 3 years' experience in the building services
City & Guilds Mechanical or Plumbing discipline competency, Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent apprenticeship.
Willing to be Authorised as Mechanical AP on site.
