Graduate opportunity
£83 - £90 per day
Are you an Aspiring Counsellor/Psychologist? Do you need to gain some credible experience to take a significant step towards qualifying as a Counsellor/psychologist for children aged 3 - 11 years old (KS1/KS2)?
Looking to seek a role working closely alongside professionals to assist supporting SEN & SEND children?
The Aspiring Counsellor/Psychologist opportunity:
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Reading based (or can commute) graduate with a keen interest in mental health support or psychology or sociology background that is looking to transition into an educational setting, to gain essential work experience towards a Counsellor/Psychology career.
The Primary school is situated in Pangbourne, Reading and it supports students with profound, multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)/SEN/SENCO and complex needs that may require support with feeding, manual handling, personal care and specialist medical care.
To work with a variety SEN/SENCO/SEND including: Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia & ADD
Comfortable working with the Oxfordshire students in the classroom & on a 1:1 (one to one) basis
Full Time & Long Term (academic term time)
ASAP £83.50 - £90 per day
Great location - Pangbourne, Reading

Graduate Pyschology degreeAspiring Counsellor/Psychologist qualifications:
Solid academics: Graduate degree (2:1), A Levels, GCSEs
Must have childcare related experience (preferably KS1/KS2 aged 3 - 11 years old)
SEN/SEND/SENCO experience is desirable - voluntary or paid
Must possess an interest in SEN, Child Development or Teaching
Basic understanding is SEN essential
Compassionate and confident personality
