Foreman - Heavy Civil & Groundworks

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Foreman to lead a team of skilled workers on a challenging and impactful prison construction project. This project will involve a range of heavy civil and groundworks activities, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety.

About the Project:

Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe execution of the heavy civil and groundworks package, which includes:

Excavation & Earthworks: Overseeing the excavation, grading, and compaction of large areas of earth, including potentially challenging ground conditions.
Foundation Construction: Leading the construction of complex foundations for the prison buildings, including concrete pours and reinforcement installation.
Drainage & Utilities: Supervising the installation of drainage systems, utilities, and other underground infrastructure.
Roadworks: Coordinating the construction of access roads, parking areas, and internal site roadways.
About the Role:

As Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled groundworkers, civil engineers, and other site personnel, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of the heavy civil and groundworks package. Your key responsibilities will include:

Team Management: Leading and motivating a team of skilled workers, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and adherence to safety procedures.
Construction Supervision: Directing and overseeing the execution of all heavy civil and groundworks activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Quality Control: Implementing and enforcing rigorous quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of workmanship and complies with project specifications.
Safety Management: Establishing and enforcing stringent safety protocols on site, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies, and maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
Material Management: Overseeing the ordering, delivery, and storage of construction materials, ensuring sufficient supplies are available at the right time.
Progress Reporting: Providing regular updates to the Site Manager on the progress of the project, identifying any potential challenges or delays.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven Experience: You possess a minimum of [Number] years of experience as a Foreman in the heavy civil and groundworks sector, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. Experience working on high-security construction projects is highly desirable.
Technical Expertise: You have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials related to heavy civil and groundworks, including excavation, foundations, drainage, and roadworks.
