Job Description

Overall Job Purpose:


The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth by managing the new product launch process for Europe and Australia/New Zealand, ensuring timely and successful market entry. This involves conducting comprehensive analysis and forecasting to identify new product opportunities that align with market trends and business goals. The Business Development Manager is responsible for overseeing portfolio management, balancing existing and new products to optimize performance and profitability. Additionally, the BDM supports third-party vendor management, coordinating with external partners to ensure smooth operations. The role also encompasses business intelligence, gathering and analyzing market data to inform strategic decisions and enhance competitive positioning.


Major tasks & responsibilities:


  • Update New Products business cases in consultation with sales/marketing teams and submission to corporate/ third party.
  • Project management to ensure successful launches
  • Participate in monthly telecoms with global launch team and follow up on action items
  • Lead monthly internal WEU reviews, respond to queries from in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Analyze in-house and third party new products opportunities
  • Work with corporate to introduce products into R&D development
  • Support periodic review of forecast for existing portfolio - every 6 months
  • Manage third party products post agreement signing till launch
  • Administrative / project management support
  • Gathering business intelligence on competitive scenario affecting New Products


Key Performance Indicators/result areas:


  • Business cases to be prepared accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Business case to be reviewed with Countries on a regular basis
  • Keeping all forecasts up-to-date with relevant market and competition data
  • Ability to work on multiple products
  • Timely launch of third party products


Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills


Education Qualifications (Graduate- Post Graduate)

Mandatory


  • Degree in Pharmaceutical / Science background
  • Proficiency in Excel and business analytics


Work experience

Mandatory


  • 5 years in pharmaceutical product planning in a commercial environment
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in coordinating with various stake holders in corporate environment
