The Role
As Software Engineering Manager you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of software engineers to develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality software products. You will collaborate with other disciplines to ensure project success, identify and mitigate risks, and continuously improve team processes and procedures. In this role you will review and approve code changes, ensuring that they meet the team's quality standards and are aligned with the project's goals. This role typically involves managing a team of up to 10 software engineers and requires strong leadership and communication skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Team Management – Manage high performing engineering team, Mentor, and build strong engineering team.
- Translate – Support team and leadership in ensuring team’s point of view, appreciation and concerns are communicated where needed and recognition received & provided.
- Delivery – oversee engineering agile delivery, planning and over all software delivery process.
- Technology leadership – Drive adoption of clean code practice and associated technical leadership to team, standards, methodologies, best practice.
- Assurance – establish software quality standards and best practice, delivery of software aligns to quality standards and continuous improvement towards prompt resolution and bugs.
- Stability – support incident process, problem management and timely resolution & PIR
Your Profile

- Decision making : Helps streamline decision-making processes to avoid analysis paralysis, encouraging the team to make informed decisions quickly and start acting upon them
- Innovation : Cultivates innovation by encouraging a creative problem-solving culture
- Collaboration : Creates a culture of mutual support and cooperation, along side Product team focus on Objective & key results.
- Commercial : Ensures software solutions are designed and implemented with a keen understanding of business objectives and market trends
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies and practices, including technical design, estimation, development, build and deployment, release management, and operations
