Pembroke College, Oxford, is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work alongside senior chefs, ensuring all meals meet Pembroke College’s high standards for quality, taste, and presentation. Key responsibilities include:
* Assist in Quality Meal Preparation: Work with senior chefs in daily meal production, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and nutritional quality within budget constraints.
* Maintain Operational Flow: Help oversee meal service by managing portioning, temperature control, and service data to ensure a smooth, seamless dining experience.
* Lead by Example: Step up in the absence of senior chefs, providing guidance to junior kitchen staff and fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Contribute to Special Events: Play an integral role in preparing and delivering high-quality meals for events, including banquets and buffets, that enhance Pembroke College's renowned dining experience.
