Role Responsibilities - Specialist Support Worker
Provide Targeted Interventions: Work 1:1 or in small groups, supporting children to engage with the curriculum.
Create a Positive Learning Environment: Ensure students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
Track Progress: Monitor academic and personal growth, reporting to teachers and support staff.
Promote Independence and Growth: Encourage children to achieve their best academically and personally.
Safeguarding: Maintain a strong understanding of safeguarding principles to keep every child protected.
Ideal Candidate Qualities
Compassionate and Kind: Bring a patient, caring approach that supports children's unique needs.
Adaptable and Resilient: Able to adjust your approach to best support each KS1/KS2 child.
Experience with SEN Beneficial: While experience with children, especially those with special educational needs, is advantageous, it's not essential. Eg. ASD, ADHD, Autism or Cerebal Palsy.
Willing to Learn: Open to training and development to build your skills and understanding.
Enhanced DBS Check Required: If you don't have one, we can assist in facilitating the process.
