Panel Wirer
Location: St. Helens
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Day-to-day of the role:
Assemble protection and control panels.
Layout and mechanical assembly of panels according to General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
Perform electrical wiring according to schematic drawings.
Conduct electrical interconnection wiring and point-to-point checks of completed panels.
Assemble P&C panels on switchgear and perform mechanical fitting.
Provide general assistance in the production area, including maintaining cleanliness, managing stock levels of standard panel build equipment, and completing production paperwork.
Aid production engineers by contributing to production requirements, installing equipment in sub-stations, cutting cable, fitting with cable identification labels, and testing equipment.
Identify and communicate any potential health and safety risks in the production area.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical schematics.
General IT skills (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., Level 3 qualified in a relevant field, BTEC, City and Guilds electrical qualification, or recognised apprenticeship/training body).
Desirable: Experience in electrical control panel wiring and assembly of protection and control panels used to control medium voltage switchgear.Benefits:
